Originally from George, Shandré Mall joined the CCID in 2015, our first new employee since we moved into our offices in 1 Thibault Square. With a senior bookkeeping certificate behind her, she also began learning the ropes of HR and studying for a national diploma in financial accounting.
In the last two years, Shandré has become an invaluable member of the CCID admin team as she’s grown into her role. She is now moving on to manage the books in her mother’s business and home skill her kids.
Says her line manager, CCID business manager Ederies Majiet: “Shandré was a pillar to our department, with no task to big or small to handle. She demonstrated maturity beyond her years and has a very pleasant demeanour. We’re going to miss her and wish her well with all her future endeavours.”
Mary-Ellen Joseph replaces Shandré as CCID finance & HR assistant. She attained her bachelor of commerce degree in 2014 and started her career in the microdot industry. After that, she worked for a year at an accounting and auditing firm, and is now studying towards a bachelor of accounting sciences in financial accounting.
