The Road to Mecca
The Road to Mecca, written in 1984 by South Africa’s iconic playwright Athol Fugard, is the story of a woman’s desire for personal and artistic freedom within the narrow confines of a conservative and highly religious community in the Karoo in ‘70s apartheid South Africa. This production, presented by Eric Abraham, opens on World Theatre Day and will run for a limited season.
