MyCiTi buses will be operational later than normal on Wednesday 10 September 2014 so that soccer enthusiasts can travel home safely after the match between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Soccer fans who want to make use of the MyCiTi service to get to the Bafana Bafana versus Nigeria match at Cape Town Stadium must use their myconnect cards to travel to the Civic Centre station, from where they will be able to take the shuttle service to Stadium station before kick-off.
The shuttle service between the two stations (Civic Centre and Cape Town Stadium) is free to match ticket holders, and will commence at 17h00, with a bus departing from the Civic Centre station at least every 15 minutes. Importantly, all other services require a myconnect card.
The shuttle service will continue throughout the match, with the last bus departing from the Cape Town Stadium station to the Civic Centre station at 22h30.
Buses will depart until 22h30 on the MyCiTi N2 Express service from the Civic Centre station to Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha; as well as on the MyCiTi trunk route to Table View and Dunoon (T01); and the area feeder routes to Sunningdale, Parklands and Wood Drive (routes 213, 214, 215 and 216). The same applies to the inner-city routes to Vredehoek, Salt River and Gardens (routes 101, 102 and 103) and Hout Bay (routes 108 and 109).
Services on all the other routes will be operational as per normal.
