Touchstone House has topped out at 15 floors above Bree Street, according to Craig Armstrong, regional director of developer FWJK. Completion by the contractors, Stabilid, will follow in October 2015.
Armstrong added that completion of this 11 700m², R220 million office and retail development will be achieved on time and well within budget.
Chairperson for the Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) Rob Kane welcomed the news of the impending completion of yet an another major investment in the CBD. “The rate of development in the Cape Town CBD currently seems to be setting us apart from the other CBDs in South Africa. Armstrong added that letting of the available office space was progressing well and he expected the building to be fully occupied within a few months. He advised that the final costs of this sectional title office development had come in under R19 000/m², including three parking bays per 100/m².
